Includes a printed copy of Amity Next Time: Parenting Apart

29 September 2026 | 12.00-1.00pm

Parental separation can bring difficult emotions, changing family relationships and new challenges for parents and children. This practical webinar explores how practitioners can support separated parents to manage communication, reduce conflict and keep their child's needs at the centre of their decisions.

The session will consider:

  • how separation can affect parents and children;

  • common communication and co-parenting challenges;

  • helping parents recognise what they can control and change;

  • supporting safer, calmer and more child-focused communication;

  • practical ways to help families move forward;

  • when communication or co-parenting work may not be appropriate and concerns require a different safeguarding or domestic abuse pathway.

Everyone who attends will receive a printed copy of Amity Next Time: Parenting Apart, a practical resource that can be used directly with separated parents to encourage reflection, support constructive conversations and help them think about what they might do differently next time communication is difficult.

Suitable for:

Professionals working across early help, family hubs, children's social care, education, health, housing, police, safeguarding, domestic abuse services and the voluntary and community sector.
