We are Amity CIC
What is a Community Interest Company?
We Are Amity CIC is a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a special type of company designed to use its profits and assets for the public good. That means we exist not to serve shareholders, but to serve communities, families, and the professionals who support them.
We are regulated by the Office of the CIC Regulator and Companies House, and our social mission is embedded in everything we do.
Our Purpose
We provide affordable, high-quality training and resources to frontline practitioners and community volunteers — including social workers, teachers, youth workers, healthcare professionals, and more.
These individuals play a vital role in helping families navigate challenges such as:
-
Parenting and relationship breakdown
-
Mental health and substance misuse
-
Economic hardship
-
Parental imprisonment
-
Discrimination and marginalisation
By equipping them with tools, insight, and confidence, we’re helping build stronger, more resilient communities.
How We Make a Difference
Our CIC activities include:
-
Cost-effective professional development for practitioners and volunteers
-
Free and subsidised access to training for small organisations and underfunded groups
-
Specialist toolkits and learning modules to improve relational practice
-
Workshops and outreach for families in hard-to-reach communities
